Today I want to share something about reading with everyone.

Everyday, there are so many books being published all over the world , what a pity we everybody can only read few of them in our limited lives . However , some people seldom read books , they feel it kind of waste of time and they prefer to gain information through some easier ways like TV shows .Take the martial arts novel of 金庸 for example , I guess most of us know something about his books , but many people just know them by TV series rather than books . Here , I really want to suggest people to read his books carefully rather than watch TV because the books are more wonderful than TV .

OK , I just want to use this example to express my attitude to reading . I prefer reading !

Of course , as a college student , we need to read more books to broaden our horizons not just to prepare for the examinations . We should take reading as an enjoyable thing rather than a burden.

Firstly, I want to say, when comes to reading , people often ask what kind of books we should read . My suggestion is as extensive as possible. Take me for example ,my major is economics , so I will read books on this major as many as possible . At the same time , I think literary、history and the

philosophy are closely related , so we need to read them too . I will spend some time on these books everyday . Of course , many kinds of books may beyond our capability [keipə'biləti], then I think it will all depends on you interest to make your decision .

Secondly ,as all we can see, with the development of the internet,the electronic books industry is booming. But I like reading papery books than electronic ones . I think papery books have more cultural appeal and read more comfortable and achievability[ə'tʃ:və.biliti] Also,we can collect papery books , some papery books may rise in value some day which electronic books can't .

Here is another thing I want to emphasize: Do not just buy books as an ornament . Books are bought to read .

Finally I want to say , in my opinion one of the happiest things in our lives is reading . Just like the poet Francis Bacon said: Reading makes a full man , reading makes a man wise and witty. We read not for praise from others' but for our own hearts. I feel regretted that I didn't read too much in times gone by , but I was lucky to be affected by one of my roommates during my first year in college . So I don't feel late , just like the old saying says :Never too old to learn ! Here ,never to old to learn !
