演讲比赛领导总结讲话

　　Everyone， good afternoon, !

　　各位老师，全体同学：大家好!

　　Thanks to each participant’s hard work, cautious preparation and positive participation, the Senior Oral English Contest has come to an end completely.

　　经过全体英语教师、各位班主任和全体同学的精心准备，经过各位选手的不懈努力和积极参与，高中部英语演讲比赛今天圆满落下了帷幕。

　　Neddleless to say, this successful spoken English contest is undoubtfully helpful to test each English teachers’ teaching level, to highlight each student’s standard and efficiency of English study, to impact each participant’s awareness of participating, working together and competing, which certainly has a deep effect on our campus culture.

　　这次比赛，既是对我们高中部英语教师教学水平的一次集中检验，也是我们高中部全体同学英语学习水平和学习成效的一次精彩展出，同时也是对我们全体师生参与意识、集体意识和竞争意识的一次有效检阅，它一定会对我们的校园文化产生深远的影响。

　　To our delight and excitement, during the course of the campaign, every English teacher devoted their hardship and wisdom as well as every student brought out their cleverness and wit,

　　令我们高兴和激动的是，在这次活动中，我们的老师付出了我们自己的辛劳和智慧，我们的同学展示了我们自己的聪慧和睿智。

　　Especially, at the scene of today’s oral contest, every contestant has the chance to have shown their gift by means of their wonderful spoken English, to have shown their potentiality by means of their practical skills and technique, to have shown their intelligence and talent by means of their immediate thinking, to have shown their high taste by means of their graceful and fine behaviors and manners.

　　特别是在今天的竞技场上，各位参赛选手，以自己高超的英语素养展现出了自己的才华，以自己出色的演讲技巧展现了自己的潜能，以自己娴熟的临场发挥展现了自己的机智，以自己得体端庄的举止展现了自己的品位。

　　It’s agreed that it’s your wonderfulness that creates the colorful atmosphere of today;it’s your devotion to learning that makes today’s joyful experience.

　　正是由于有了你们的精彩，才铸就了我们今天活动的精彩纷呈，正是由于有了你们的付出，才成就了我们今天的幸福体验。

　　As a consequence of that, I’m very, very glad to be behalf of us teachers to give you, all the contestants, a warm welcome, to congratulate you all on your great progress.

　　因此，我代表全体师生对各位参赛选手带给我们的精神大宴、带给我们的视听愉悦，表示衷心的感谢，对各位选手所取得的成绩表示热烈的祝贺。

　　Here and now, you are likely to have such a true feeling that what makes us happy and wonderful is not only the process of competition but also the hardship given for competing.

　　我想，每一位参赛选手都会有这样的感觉：真正带给我们幸福体验的不只是今天的比赛过程，为准备今天的比赛而在整个过程中的付出和辛劳，那同样也是一种甜蜜而幸福的体验。

　　So to speak, process should be the most important. As long as there is a necessary to pay, harvest is just a by-product.

　　因此，我们应该明白的是，过程是最重要的，只要有了过程中的必要的付出，收获只是一种副产品。

　　“ We reap what we sow”. “If there were no clouds, we shouldn’t enjoy the sun”.

　　正所谓“只管耕耘，莫问收获”，其实，辛勤耕耘之后就必然会有丰硕的收获。

　　With the society developing rapidly，anyone who wants to succeed can’t but put himself or herself to the situation where there is hot competition and challenge, excellent national cultures as well as international competition.

　　随着社会的发展，既根植民族文化土壤、又具有国际视野的人才才会在未来的激烈竞争中真正立于不败之地。

　　So, during the course of high school, it’s your best choice to learn English well, especially to own a mouthful of fluent oral English, which is sure to lead you to climb up the social ladder rapidly to have your wishful dream come true.

　　因此，在中学阶段学好英语，特别是拥有一口标准流畅的英语口语，是你在未来的人生之旅中占尽先机的通行证。

　　Right now, I heartily hope each of you, by the aid of this contest, will make every effort to master more standard spoken English to face the world and brave the storm, to accumulate more energy and knowledge to meet the big social stage.

　　因此，我们衷心希望全体同学能够以今天的英语演讲比赛为契机，努力练就自己英语口语的超强本领，为自己成为未来社会的弄潮儿——“敢立潮头唱大风”，积聚必要的基础和能量。

　　Before ending my speech, again I give many, many thanks to all the teachers and students who have made contributions to this campaign.

　　最后，让我再次代表学部领导对位这次活动的成功举办而付出无数辛劳的各位老师和全体同学表示衷心的感谢，对全体同学特别是各位参赛选手的精彩表现表示崇高的敬意。
